Martha Rey,  Spanish Assistant Teacher:  8-3:3pm

Hanan Salim Hanan Salim was born in Caracas, Venezuela.  She holds the American Montessori Society and the North American Montessori Credentials. She also has a background in Child Development and Early Childhood Education. She has worked as an educator since 2001 in private and charter institutions in both the state of North Carolina and Florida.  She also worked for Family Central Inc., in family support services, in the Nurturing Program. Ms. Hanan is a multicultural person dominating three languages. Married with two kids, she enjoys reading, traveling, and enrolling in continuing education courses such as Sign Language and calligraphy.  What Hanan loves the most about Montessori is that each child learns at their own pace and that the teacher follows the child.

Martha Rey Martha is a native Spanish speaker and grew up in Colombia. She moved to Greensboro, NC in 1991.   After attending college for two years, she started and operated a few businesses, including a grocery store and a restaurant for seven years.  After that, Martha began tutoring children in Spanish. She began working as an assistant teacher at IMS in 2007. Martha plans to further pursue her education in Spanish literature. She has been studying and practicing yoga for 20 years and her meditation is very important to her. Martha is very passionate about studying Hindu and Asian spirituality and metaphysics, all of which have helped her feel spiritually, emotionally, and physically balanced.
