Donate Online Using Your Credit Card

Network for Good is a website where you can give to your favorite charity/charities and have all your donation records stored and accessible at any time. The website is safe and secure; it meets the BBB Wise Giving Alliance standards for for charity accountability. Since its inception more than 400,000 donors have contributed more than $100 million dollars using the Network for Good giving system.

There is a 4.75% tax-deductible fee for credit card/PayPal transactions, which you can add or deduct from your donation. This fee is used to pay banks, credit card companies and other administrative costs. Network for Good does not profit from fees. There is a $10 fee for online check transactions containing one donation and a $5 fee per donation for transactions containing multiple donations. The online check fees cover check vendor, banking and administrative costs, and Network for Good does not profit from them.

 NEW! Weaver Street Market School Scrip Program

Our school has elected to participate in the School Scrip Program, Weaver Street Market’s donation program for local schools, preschool through 12th grade. Your purchase of a School Scrip Card (aka a Gift Card) allows you to donate 5% of your purchases directly to the International Montessori School.

 If you would like to participate in the School Scrip Program, please visit either Weaver Street Market grocery store and purchase a rechargeable Gift Card (also known as School Scrip Card,). When purchasing the card, be sure to tell the cashier to use School Scrip Number 218 for school. This will ensure that we receive the 5% donation.

Then, use this Scrip Card (Gift Card) each time you shop at Weaver Street Market in Carrboro or Southern Village or at Panzanella Restaurant. In 2008, you will be able to use the card at the new Hillsborough location.

You must purchase your gift card prior to ringing up your groceries. For more information about Weaver Street Market, please visit their website.

For every dollar you spend at at Weaver Street Market or Panzanella using a Scrip Card, IMS will receive back 5%.

Harris Teeter Together in Education Program

Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program is a fund raising program for schools (public or private- preschool through 12th grade) in our communities. When customers purchase select Harris Teeter Brand products using their VIC card, Harris Teeter contributes a percentage of those purchase dollars to the schools of their choice. Schools use the money as they see fit on anything from basic supplies to band equipment or computers.

Whole Foods Scrip Program

The Whole Foods Market School Scrip Program is a method of fundraising for the schools, allowing them to realize a 5% profit on the amount of scrip that is purchased and subsequently sold to parents. These monies are for scholarships, school program supplies, etc. Scrip is offered in $20 increments only and there is no set limit on the number of scrip purchased by the school. 

We are excited to announce that The International Montessori School is now a participant in the Whole Foods Market Scrip program! If you shop at Whole Foods, you can help IMS raise money AT NO COST TO YOU and with just a little advanced planning. For every dollar you spend at Whole Foods, IMS will receive back 5%.

Here’s how it works:

• IMS will purchase and resell to you Whole Foods Scrip Certificates. They are available in $20 increments and you use these certificates just  like cash to pay for your purchases. If your purchase amounts to less than $20, then the cashier will give you your change in cash. IMS purchases these $20 certificates for $19 so the school makes $1 for each one sold. I know that doesn’t sound like much but it can add up quickly if many families use them. Another local pre-school about our size made almost $800 on these certificates alone last year!
• Email Natalie at info@languagecenternc.org and let her know your general interest and approximately how many certificates you think you would like to order on a one-time, weekly, or monthly basis. After assessing interest, we will likely purchase a block of certificates and make them available through the Office. You can either pay by check when you pick them up or we will add the cost to your next monthly invoice.
• Keep in mind as well that with the holidays approaching, these make great gifts for your mail carrier/baby sitters/newspaper carrier/teachers/etc.
• Scrip may be redeemed only at the Chapel Hill Whole Foods Market location for purchases. Change is given if the purchase is less than the face value of the scrip.
