The International Montessori School is founding the East Coast’s only Language Immersion Montessori School from Toddler age through 6th grade over the next ten years. Though we are currently renting space in downtown Chapel Hill, near to UNC-CH, we will move to our permanent location by August of 2008.
Our new location is at 3001 Academy Road, Suite 300 in Durham, NC. It is a free standing building less than 5-years-old, which we are currently in the process of converting into a first class learning space. Click here for a Map of 3001 Academy Rd, Durham and directions.
The new building will provide us with:
2 new classrooms for 3-6-year olds
A classroom for our new lower elementary school
A new reception area and Staff work room
Resuming our after school and Adult Class Programs
Expansion of our Summer camps
Space for indoor activities, such as yoga class
Much more space and room for our school to grow!!
In addition to our new location, our school will also be opening lower elementary school programs in French and Spanish. We expect to enroll about 15 students (7-8 children in each language). Included will be a separate outside recreation area for the older children.
