Admissions Overview

International Montessori School welcomes a diverse community of students and families from a variety of cultures, linguistic backgrounds, and cultural experiences such as living abroad. Not all of our families know another language, but all appreciate the gift that other languages and cultures bring to their children and their families. While love of language and culture is key to joining the IMS community, appreciation for the methods and outcomes of the Montessori approach is also important.

Parents seeking the richness a language immersion program offers and the academic strength provided through the student-centered, integrated, hands-on approach are encouraged to visit our school for an observation, a tour, and an open house.

Our Admissions Process

There are three key steps to the admissions process.
Visit
Parents should contact the office to schedule an observation of one of our classrooms prior to completing the application. The classroom observation is for adults only, and one or both parents may attend. Based on the language you are interested in for your child, you will observe both our primary classroom and one of our elementary classrooms. The observation visit is typically 45 - 60 minutes.

Meet
Ideally, the meeting with the Head of School will be scheduled after the observation and application package are completed. This interview is a time to get to know each other, share more detailed information specifically in relation to your child, and ask questions of each other that have not previously been addressed.
