Spanish-speaking Primary Assistant Teacher (3 years old to 6 years old class)
We are seeking an assistant teacher for our Primary French immersion class. Candidates must have native (or near native) fluency in French and strong English skills. The position requires assisting in the Primary French immersion class from 10:45AM to 1PM Monday through Friday. Key assistant responsibilities include supporting the lead teachers by helping the children on the playground, during lunch, and at nap time. Responsibilities also include maintaining a clean and safe environment and making materials.
Our ideal candidate has classroom experience with three to six year old children, deeply values the energy, curiosity and work of primary-aged children, has a caring and firm classroom management style, enjoys a very diverse community, and has an understanding of the American educational culture. Some Montessori training and experience is desired but not required. Preference given to those candidates interested in pursuing Montessori Early Childhood training.
