Summer Camp Week 1 “Nature Explorers”

June 17 - June 21

Students will learn about the plants and animals in our schoolyard environment.  They will learn about different life cycles as well experience the plant life cycle through activities in the classroom and maybe even a little gardening in our garden box. Preparing and enjoying different fresh plant-based snacks will introduce nutrition and healthy choices. Nature crafts and stories will introduce discussions about taking care of our environment.

Summer Camp Week 2 “The First Americans”

June 24 - June 28

Students will explore the customs, crafts, and legends of 5 tribes from North America.  Learning about how different tribes made their homes, gathered and prepared food, clothing, transportation, and communicated, students will see how different tribes used their surroundings to meet their needs.  We will prepare food, tell stories, play games, and dance to the music of the first Americans.

Science Exploration Camp” Spark the imagination and curiosity with hands-on science experiments exploring science and nature, using the microscope, combining and separating common substances, making slime and ice cream, erupting volcanoes and much more! Summer Camp Week 6 “All Things about Animals”

July 22 - July 26

Learn about interesting and important characteristics of the five classes of vertebrates.  Why do some mammals lay eggs? Do some fish really fly? Do dinosaurs exist today? Through stories, crafts, and hands-on experience, the students will ask questions, explore and discover new things about animals.

Summer Camp Week 7 “Homes from Around the World”

July 29 - August 2

As they travel around the globe, students will explore the different kinds of structures people call home.  They will explore the how these homes are made and will even explore a bit of model home construction of their own.  They will learn about the countries where people live in these homes and enjoy some of the culture, food, art, and music.
